Ingredients
  

  • 12 oz refrigerated or frozen cheese tortellini
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small onion diced
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 24 oz marinara sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method
 

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked, about 6-8 minutes. Drain excess fat.
  3. Add the diced onion and minced garlic to the skillet, cooking until the onion is translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
  4. Stir in the marinara sauce and Italian seasoning. Let it simmer for about 5 minutes.
  5. Cook the tortellini according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  6. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked tortellini with the meat sauce, mixing well to coat evenly.
  7. Transfer the mixture into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish.
  8. Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan generously on top.
  9. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
  10. Remove from the oven and let it sit for 5-10 minutes before serving.
