Ingredients
  

  • 1 and 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • Chocolate frosting for decorating
  • Candy eyes
  • Pretzel antlers
  • Red candy or cherry for the nose

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a cupcake pan with liners.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Then mix in the vanilla extract.
  4. In another bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add this to the creamed mixture, alternating with the milk.
  5. Fill each cupcake liner about two-thirds full with the batter and bake for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  6. Once baked, remove cupcakes from the oven and let them cool completely on a wire rack.
  7. Frost the cooled cupcakes generously with chocolate frosting, creating a smooth base for decorations.
  8. Attach candy eyes, pretzel antlers, and a red candy nose to each cupcake to complete the reindeer look.
