Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Prepare a 9x9 inch baking pan by greasing it lightly or lining it with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, melt the butter and let it cool slightly before adding sugar and vanilla extract.
Add the granulated sugar and vanilla extract to the melted butter, mixing well until combined.
Add the eggs to the mixture, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
Sift together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt, then fold them gently into the wet ingredients.
Gently fold in the chopped strawberries, being careful not to overmix.
Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly.
Bake in the preheated oven for 25–30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out with a few moist crumbs.
Remove from the oven and let cool in the pan for about 15 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Once cooled, cut into squares and serve.
