Ingredients
  

  • 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 ½ cups granulated sugar
  • 1 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 cups crushed chocolate chip cookies
  • Blue frosting store-bought or homemade
  • Cookie decorations for topping

Method
 

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare three 9-inch round cake pans.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugars until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with the milk until combined.
  6. Fold in the crushed chocolate chip cookies gently.
  7. Divide the batter evenly among the prepared cake pans and bake for 25-30 minutes.
  8. Allow the cakes to cool in the pans for 10 minutes before transferring to wire racks.
  9. Once completely cooled, frost each layer with blue frosting and stack them carefully.
  10. Decorate the top with chocolate chip cookies and additional frosting to enhance the Cookie Monster theme.
