  • 200 g pitted dates chopped
  • 250 ml boiling water
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 100 g unsalted butter softened
  • 150 g dark brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs beaten
  • 200 g all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 200 ml heavy cream
  • 150 g light brown sugar
  • 50 g unsalted butter for sauce

Method
 

  1. Prepare the dates and boiling water.

  5. Transfer to the baking dish.
