Sweet and Fluffy Japanese Dorayaki Delights

Fluffy pancakes filled with sweet red bean paste make Japanese dorayaki a delightful treat, perfect for afternoon snacks or sharing at gatherings.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 2 large eggs
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 1/2 cup milk adjust as needed
  • 1 cup anko sweet red bean paste
  • Butter for cooking

Method
 

  1. Prepare the batter by combining dry ingredients.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk the wet ingredients.
  3. Combine the dry and wet ingredients to form a batter.
  4. Let the batter rest for about 30 minutes.
  5. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and grease lightly with butter.
  6. Pour a ladleful of batter onto the skillet for each pancake.
  7. Cook until both sides are golden brown and fluffy.
  8. Assemble the dorayaki by filling with anko.
  9. Serve warm or at room temperature.
